FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS AND HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE?
My office hours are Monday - Friday from 10am to 6pm AWST*. Weekends are for sleep ins, reading, taking Kavik to the beach and Netflix binges. If I reply to emails over the weekend, I probably forgot what day it is. Throughout the week I'll try my best to reply to emails within 24 - 48 hours. Please understand that I'll prioritise communication from my current clients before anything else.
I prefer communicating via email and Skype as phone calls prove to be very disrupting during the workday. Skype calls need to be scheduled in advance.

DO YOU WORK WITH OVERSEAS CLIENTS?
Yes, I do. The majority of my clients are located across Europe and the US and I've never run into any troubles so far. Some of my previous clients have mentioned the surprising ease of working internationally in their testimonial. You can check them out here.
HOW DOES THIS WORK? WILL I REALLY GET WHAT I WANT?
I get you. Creating a bespoke invitation suite that is uniquely you must look like a rather complex and long winded project at first glance. So I've sat down and explained all the steps we're going to take to make the process less intimidating. You can read all about it right here.
As long as you're honest with me and openly share your ideas and vision for your big day, you'll get an invitation suite you'll love.
WHAT'S THE HOMEWORK ALL ABOUT? DO I REALLY NEED TO DO IT? WHAT IF I'M LATE?
I know homework doesn't sound very exciting, but it is an important part of our journey. Without you answering my questions or working on our shared secret Pinterest board I won't know what you want. And if I don't know what you want, I can't create a stationery suite that truly reflects your style and we'll both end up very disappointed with each other. If you're stuck, please don't be afraid to ask. I'm here to help you.
Please take any deadlines I set seriously as each one will affect our journey. If you're missing deadlines, I will not be able to guarantee your invitations will be ready on time. It doesn't matter how amazing you are, no printer or other third party will wait for you. Long story short... don't be late.
WHY ARE THE PRINT COSTS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICES?
There are many variables that determine the final cost of printing your invitation suite and without knowing what we're creating and what your budget allows us to do, I can't give you a number. Not when we haven't even started yet.
I can create a design and have it printed for $300 or $3,000. It depends on many things. Are we printing digital? Letterpress? How about gold foil? What paper are we going to use? How about something really special like printing on acrylic or leather? How many colours do we use in the design? How many stationery items do we have? How many copies do we need?
You see where I'm going with this? The options are endless. But don't worry, I'll take care of this. When I'm asking you about your budget, it's not because I'm nosy, it's because I need to know what options we have. We'll have a chat about what you'd like to do and I'll check if and how it can be done. I'll run all costs by you and you make the final decision.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE PAYMENTS?
Once you've signed the contract, I'll ask for a 50% deposit to secure your spot in my queue. I only take on a limited number of clients at any given time so I can provide you with the best service possible. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable. The final balance is due BEFORE your files are send to print.
Currently I accept payments via Paypal and bank transfer.
Any third party costs such as printing or shipping your invitations have to be paid by you. I'm happy to act as a middle (wo)man, but I won't use my own money to pay upfront.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEDDING IS CANCELLED?
First of all, I'd need a very strong coffee to digest this news. In all seriousness though... if the wedding is cancelled and your project abandoned before it's being finalised, I will bring our work together to a close. No further payments are required as the deposit is non-refundable and should cover whatever time and material has been spent thus far.
The one exception to this may be any third party costs (printer etc.) if already in progress. While I'm happy to talk to vendors on your behalf, I don't have any influence on their policies in such an unusual situation.
I will keep ownership of your design. No print files will be exchanged.
HOW OFTEN CAN I HAVE MY DESIGN CHANGED?
Based on our initial discussions, I will show you no more than 2 designs (a second design will only be presented if the first design is fully rejected) and up to 8 revisions on you chosen design. A revision is considered any change made to the design and I will contact you if you are about to exceed your limits. If you decide, you want more designs and/or revisions, I will charge those based on the complexity of your request.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
That's a difficult question to answer. Each project has its own unique timeframe. The homework part at the beginning will take about 2-3 weeks. I will not start on the design before this part has been completed and I'm fully satisfied I understand what you're looking for.
The first draft of your invitation will usually be ready within 2 weeks. After this it's different every time. Sometimes the first draft is exactly right, sometimes it needs some tweaking. The invitation can take anywhere between 1-2 months to get right. The other pieces of your stationery suite will fall into place faster and more easily, because they are heavily influenced by the design of your invitation.
You'll also need to allow a few days for proof-reading all items before they go to print.
Printing can take between 3-6 weeks depending on the print process and the printer's schedule. Be aware that printers can get very busy in the lead up to major holidays.
The entire process from start to finish can take 3-5 months. So carefully plan in advance.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY DESIGN? WILL YOU RE-USE IT?
I reserve the right to show off our beautiful work in my portfolio here on my website, my blog, as well as on social media.
Nope, I won't re-use your (bespoke) design. Pinky swear.
